2026 Project No. 4: Red Brick Dolly Inspired Cottage with Brick Fence

Greetings to all,

I’m pleased to bring you another Dolly inspired “printie”. This project is a creative interpretation, blending graphic details from several Dolly Houses. It is not an exact replica of a specific house.

The construction process aligns with the other Dolly “printed” houses I have shared previously, with one main difference: the fence. For this house, you have three fence options, as shown in the provided PDFs. The red brick fence, featuring two trees and a gate with a wreath, requires a bit more explanation.

To construct this fence, begin with a cardboard core. Apply the graphic designs to both sides of the cardboard, then trim the piece following the top cut line—this step shapes both the front and back of the fence simultaneously. Next, create two lengths of fence, join them together, and finish by attaching the gate with its wreath and the two trees.

Several images are included to illustrate the fence assembly. These show how each piece is cut and fits together. Some of the photos depict the graphics in black and white, as they were taken during the prototyping phase.

There will be additional updates to show all the PDFs and work-in-progress photos. Also note that I have included several different window options in addition to the three fence choices.
