Active Members valued. New Members onboard.

Post by paulrace »

Now that several people have come through the new membership application system successfully, I have gone back through and purged several people who subscribed but haven't signed into the forum in 2 years or more. Considering our demographic, I realize that failing health and similar issues may be at work in a few cases. But in most cases, as far as I can tell, folks checked in to ask a few questions, got the answers they needed, then never checked in again. That is totally fine with me, and I'm not upset with anybody. But I don't want to be like those churches that have a thousand "members" on the rolls but only a handful of people who actually show up on Sunday mornings.

So, technically, our "membership" numbers are staying about the same, but our ACTIVE membership is increasing, and that's the important part to me.

Courteous, substantive interaction has always been my goal for this forum, and it is something our most active members seem to value. If you WERE a member at one time and feel you were removed from the rolls improperly, please use the contact button to get in touch.

For the rest of you, thanks for your continued participation and mutual support.
