My version of the Witches Lair
My version of the Witches Lair
I enjoy Howard's patterns, and being inspired by Lucy's Halloween house making talents, I decided to give the Witch's Lair a try! This is the first house I have made without covering it in glitter.
It was a fun project with some new challenges to master. The fence is a picket fence from the craft store which I distressed. I used orange velum for the door/window and I like the way it glows. Still working to get good photos of the houses, but I think you can get the idea.
Thanks Howard and Lucy for the inspiration!

Re: My version of the Witches Lair
I love the surface of your house and what a great idea using moss for the roof, I may borrow that idea some day.
Nothing wrong with your pictures either

Re: My version of the Witches Lair
Laney,
I am so excited to see this completed. I love it. The bright orange color, the distressed finish, the moss, and how it glows, everything. It is wonderful. There are some advantages to making a Halloween house, aren't there? Namely, if it is a little wonky, it only adds to the character, don't you think?
I look forward to seeing more.

Laney...
You're doing exactly what the patterns I've posted are designed for--use them!...adjust what and where you want and need to...add your own personal touches...you end up with a one-of-a-kind little house!...
I see you like the black photographic background, too!...it certainly forces the eye to focus on the subject...
My very best regards...

Thanks Howard, I do love your patterns. And yes, I have been experimenting with different colored backgrounds and lighting - photographing the houses is a skill in itself!
