Yellow cocunut house

Post by Lynn »

Here’s my latest a little coconut house. The first picture is the original.

I used Pet’s door, coconut, and pre-cut fence. I felt a bit guilty using his fence but I have to tell you it's great, I love it!

It's lovely. Beautiful colors and such nice work! May I ask what you used for flat base?

Hi Laney,

The base for this house and what i use for most of my Dolly houses is a heavy/medium chipboard. I have purchased this from several manufacturers. I still have the label for this one. It's Jack Richeson & Co. It's labeled all purpose chipboard 2.2 mm, I measured it at 3/32 of an inch. Sometimes the cut edges separates especially when I used this for trees, easy solution a bit of white glue and it's good as new.

Sometimes it hard finding the right six because most are only labeled medium wait. I hope thid helps.

Lynn...the finished house is perfect in every detail...i especially like your choice of colors!...

by the way...i've seen a sample of Pete's fences...they are authentic in every detail...and certainly save a lot of tedious punching and cutting...

Laney...about cardboard for bases...go here...this may help you...https://www.cardboardchristmas.com/foru ... nder#p6690

my very best regards...

Lynn,
What a beautiful reproduction! It's like the house has come to life again. The coconut is perfect for this house. And the colors are so lovely. It is a treasure for sure.
