My version of a "Haunted Putz Manor"...

Post by Clinton »

Good afternoon all! I have built a "Halloween-themed" Haunted Putz Manor. This is supposed to depict what an early 1930's putz house would have looked like if the Japanese had been commissioned to make them for this beloved holiday of ours. So-- since none (as far as my knowledge goes!) was ever made, this is what they would call in the vintage Halloween memorabilia market a "fantasy" piece. This meaning: "What could have been". Oh well, better late than never, right? Enjoy!...

Happy "Fall"-idays!

I like the trees Will.

Reminds me of the trees up here in Vermont.
Well, In a few more weeks. Still green.

Great house.

I love your halloween manor! Great design, I like the double base. Is that purple foil on the roof? Really neat ghost, how did you make it?

Will...

yep...it shouts Halloween...big time...so many colors for what some consider to be a "dark" celebration!...

i especially like the round window above the tall front windows...looks like an "institution" of some kind...

maybe a place for people who cut too much cardboard...

my very best regards...

Howard...

Well folks, here's the "finale" on the Haunted Putz Manor: Grave stones have been lettered, ghost eyes are sPoOkIeR, and there's an eery light on in the house! It was one of my most funnest builds ever. ;)

Steve-- Plans will be posted when I upload my templates soon!
Lynn-- Yes! it was purple foil from the hershey's kisses (Tom's idea!). The ghost was made out of crepe paper.
DCrowe-- "I ain't afraid of no ghosts!"...
Laurie-- I just loved putting on all of the textures and colors. I even made my own black coconut for the roof. 1st time for that!
Howard-- Yes, this "cuckoo" has cut into the cardboard one to many times, but- I'm blissfully "pUtZ" centric!...

Halloween cheers to you all!
