So I was checking out Ebay and saw this house.

It took me awhile, but i knew I'd seen something like this before.
In a gallery highlighing Karl Fey's houses.

I'm thinking, that's where Karl got inspiration for his house.

Pretty Well done repro.

I found the auction.

A bunch of different photos of the same house.

I LOVE the colors. Not necessarily in combination, but the salmon coconut really makes a statement.

Maria:

Looking at your picture. Looks like you can add figures to the balcony.

you ever get dimensions of it.

I'd love to try a repro.

My stumbling point is normally figuring out dimensions for photos.

No snow here in Vermont yet.

This a great house!! I agree Maria this would be a great project. Getting the measurements has always been tricky to figure out. I try to start with the windows and doors and go from there but it does take a while and a few tries before I get it where it looks about right. Some times if you have a good picture you can enlarge the pictue getting the windows the right size and then the other measurment are a bit easier to figure out. I like using the graft paper that really helps me out alot.

When I see a "putz project" I would like to do, I pull out one of my own that look similar in size and go from there. It helps! I do have one that is kinda like this one-- I will do some measurements and let you all know what I come up with.

Cheers,

Will

I'll get you measurements after the holiday; the house is now part of the completed mantle and I'd have to take it out--and remove all those carefully hidden battery operated light wires--promise to do it in January.
