Another repro for 2020

Post by PutzinVT »

I first spied this house back in 2015. The one I first saw was one that Karl Fey had made.
After that, I stumbled across an eBay auction that, what I believed to be the one that Karl based his off of.

Back in 2015, my building skills were not up to the level I'm at now.

Both Tom and Howard had worked with me on some dimensions.
This house got stuffed in a directory on my PC. And kinda forgotten.

Back in November, my HD died in my PC. After I restored a backup, this house reappeared.

So after 5 years with Tom and Howard's help. I got this one built.
Also with this one, I tried my hand at a loofah tree.

And I needed a mess of windows, not just cello but flocked cello.
So thanks to Peter for his quality supplies to make this house happen.

I'll let the picture say the rest.

Putz on,

Steve

Lynn:

The green is the same technique I used on the Nippon Light house, light string and the high School repro house.

I use plaster patch from my local hardware store. I thin it out and add some paint to get the color I need.

I add a bit of glass glitter when it is still wet to give it a bit of sparkle.

Steve - agree with everyone’s comments. I especially like how you nailed the colors - especially the green! Great job!
