Street Musicians "Flattie" Project...

greetings to all...

finally found the right subject matter...a group of three street musicians...i borrowed the poses from several different images i found on the internet...see the pattern below...i'll post some progress pictures and a picture of the finished "flatter" later...

may make a couple of more musician "flatties" later...perhaps a drummer and a tuba player...

all the major cutting out done...assembly and trimming some pieces to exact size are next...

this project is assembled and ready for about two or three coats of well brushed in primer...then the detailed painting starts...

ordinary broom straw was used to make the bow and the oboe...a paper clip was used for the mouthpiece on the oboe...(or maybe it's a bassoon)...

assembled flattie...mounted on painting handle with hot glue and with two coats of primer...started painting the details...more later...

greetings to all...

i don't know what they are playing...but it's probably something familiar...

it also didn't take as long to finish this "flattie" as i thought it would...and i always learn something with each one i make...if i had to do it over again...i'd make the cello a separate piece...it would have been a lot easier to paint...regarding the cello...the finger board, tail piece and bridge are small pieces of black card stock...i might also have chosen brighter colors for the clothing...
