Hello from Pennsylvania

If you would like to let the rest of us know a bit about you, especially if you have any special skills or knowledge that the rest of the group might be able to draw on, that would be good. Also, if you have a blog or other web resource that's related to what we do here. . .

Hello from Pennsylvania

Post by psumom122 »

Hello!
First, thank you, Paul for adding me to the forum! I remember having a Putz village under the Christmas tree when I was a child. I discovered Howard Lamey's site, littleglitterhouses around 2007 and have made many of his designs. When the Cricut Winter Wonderland cartridge was available, I purchased a Cricut Expression to cut houses out of cardstock. Over the years I have added to my collection using digital files as well as metal dies, such as Tim Holtz's Village set. I recently found the December 1968 issue of Pack-of-Fun craft magazine which features a Christmas village. As I like the precision of a digital cutting machine, I hope to create files of these houses so that I can cut them out with my machine. I just purchased a Cricut Maker....it has a great capacity to cut all kinds of material.

I am looking forward to perusing the forums for ideas, patterns and techniques. I've attached a photo of my mantel from last year which features some of the Tim Holtz dies.

Thanks again!
Linda

The warmest of welcomes Linda. WOW.... I love your Tim Holtz cut outs. I too have the dies for them as well and have made many for family and friends. The use of the metallic card stock for the roofs is nothing short of genius. :)
