Happy House Hunting!

If you would like to let the rest of us know a bit about you, especially if you have any special skills or knowledge that the rest of the group might be able to draw on, that would be good. Also, if you have a blog or other web resource that's related to what we do here. . .

Happy House Hunting!

Post by Jillybean »

I wanted to send a quick hello. I got into these darling little paper houses a few years ago. Once she saw my interest, my mother passed along 2 small houses from Czechoslovakia that were her great-aunts. I have been building and buying them ever since. My collection covers all sizes and I can't seem to decide on which I like the best.
Now that I am back to working full-time (took 2 years off to finish an IT degree), I don't seem to have as much time these days to build new little houses, but I have several past projects that I will try to photograph soon and share with you all. With Thanksgiving being only 10 days away, I am not sure if I will get more than the 2 sitting here on my desk, but I am going to try. (Um, somehow I need to finish the 5 or 6 ornaments also in progress in the next week to.)
Glad to meet you all and am really looking forward to the tips within these pages--some of my ideas for building better houses haven't worked and having an expert resource(s) will be awesome. The project I most want to do is to build a paper house of a chateau we stayed in a couple of years ago while in France--but I really, really need to get more experience building and getting better at it before I attempt something so complicated. :D
