For some time I have been looking for the vintage Barclay Santa riding his sleigh with 8 tiny reindeer. I reached out to Barclay and they are reproducing this piece!! They are planning to have it ready for Christmas 2012. We can start checking the site around July. Yea!!!

Saw three of the most common antique Barclays and a bunch of crap toys in a box at a flea market last spring. No prices. Pointed out the Barclays and asked the fellow how much those were. $14@ or something like that. "Sorry, thanks," I said. He became red in the face and told me I was an idiot to pass that up, got up out of his chair and more-or-less chased me from his booth. I couldn't figure out if he thought that was an effective sales technique. Do you suppose some folks are actually intimidated into buying from such people?

Howard...here in hot, sunny and humid north florida...where did spring go?...

I never asked about the price, I will keep checking and as soon as it becomes available I will let everyone know......
