Printing on Vellum

Putz experts, I need your advice! I'm working on doing some putzy stores for my village - maybe a book store, coffee shop...anyway, these would have windows different from those on traditional glitter houses. I'd like to have a hint of what such a store might be like on the inside looking through the windows, if that makes sense. So, for example, in the book store window, maybe the image of some book shelves. What would be the best medium for this? I've considered vellum, but have read that printing on it can be dicey. Anybody have experience in this and be willing to share some ideas?

I have made several "picture window houses"...the images were printed on copy paper...here is the link... http://littleglitterhouses.com/paul/pic ... _house.htm

Scroll down to the instructions about making your own picture windows...you'll just need some images...I'm sure you can google and find what you're looking for...

here are a couple more "picture window houses" from way, way back...the window were printed on copy paper...

Good morning BurghGal.

I'm sorry I haven't piped up on the subject of vellum yet, but-- here's my take on it: You can go to your local Office Max/Staples and have them print on it, no problem. I have also printed out Howard's "windows" on it too and it comes out looking very nice! Only thing-- when you go to glue it down, the edges want to curl up and give you a hard time! I use a flat surfaced tool like a little paint palette trowel that you can but at walmart for a couple of bucks to spread the sides from the inside out and it works flawlessly every time. Matter of fact, I use that little tool to do all of my windows and doors. Good investment to make your "putz life" easier!
