The Sizzix rooftop dies are BIGZ dies and should last for many, many years so it should be a one time expense. They will cut cardboard easily. The shingle sections are about 4 inches long.

Also, the window mullions are from the Holiday House die for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I ordered online a while back. I actually ordered 3 of them so I could cut 6 windows at a time because I use them so often. I usually cut 65# cardstock for these windows because I am gluing them on and they are backed up by plastic window material. These windows fit perfectly with the standard window that fits the die Pete sells which must be a very common window size for putz houses. You can put them on the inside or the outside of this size window.

I use other windows at times, but these are by far the most common windows I use on my houses. I've included a picture for you. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Lucy, your houses look great, as usual. I don't have the capability to produce the windows, etc. that you do, but I appreciate hearing what you use.

I just bought a Sizzix BigKick and these very dies today. On on sale! Got it all for less than $50! Can't wait to try it out when it gets here in the mail. :)
