kool aid dyed coconut cottage...

Post by Howard »

good afternoon...

now that i have dyed some "coconut" with kool aid...it's time for a test on an actual house...

here's the link to the kool aid dye test i did recently on foam board...

http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/forum ... f=19&t=612

i choose to remake a classic small cottage...base measures 3 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 3/4" thick...height is 4 3/4" including base...

i still have to prime and paint the house...so it will be a few days until i can post the finished project...

my very best regards...howard...

good afternoon...

had some shop time this morning and was able to finish the house...the kool aid dyed coconut is on the roof, house body and fence...the snow base is bleached coconut...also the snow areas on the roofs...there is sawdust colored with craft paint on the step and walk...

i did brush on a touch of "snow-tex" to selected areas of the white coconut on the roofs and base plus the tree...i did not use any of the coconut dyed with the "mix berry" kool aid on this project...i'll use that color on another house later...

please note...the colors are not as bright as the photos show...i just discovered i had the camera set on "vivid" and not "standard" color...

my very best regards...howard...

Looks awsome Howard.

Amazed at all the work you did making coco.
Especially that many colors.

You must have made a bunch of those Santas. I've seen them on a lot of your houses lately.

Another materpiece.
