Brian's Second Printie July 2005 HOM

Post by BrianB »

Good evening,

I started another printie in-between making the boulder houses. Got a much better grasp on applying the graphic wrap this round.

I got to recreate a previously unavailable stick on window graphic for this house!! This one has a green border, it has been recently brought to my attention that there is one that is very similar that has a white border instead of green. So I'm going to try and work one of those up if I have some free time very soon. I had a lot of fun reproducing the shingles and brick graphics as well!

Few things to note, maybe you noticed how perfect the slots on the porch fence are?? Pete sent me a link of his die cut fence, it was very nice not to have to rip those all out by hand!! He also sent me a sample of a luffa tree he made, and I think it will work awesome with this house, so I will attaching that once it's all painted! :) I'm also going to use one of Pete's Santa figures.

Hope all is good in Putzing land!!
-Brian

brian...

definitely "another winner"...your shingles and bricks are perfect reproductions...and it looks like you've got applying the printed graphics all figured out...

i believe i saw another house on ted's site that uses a similar brick and shingle pattern...it has a "doghouse" off to the left side, raffia fence and salmon colored base...i'll have to search and find it...

my very best regards...howard...

Thank you so much everybody!! I'm hoping to wrap this one up soon. I'm planning on doing more printies for sure!!

Howard, If you can find the house that'd be awesome, I'll take a look over on Papa Ted's too.

Thanks again!

Hello!

Got this one all wrapped up!! It was a fun build!! I'm on to another boulder house next. My list of houses I want to do has grown exponentially over the last few months. I definitely want to do at least 3 more printies.

This house I think I mentioned before, I used Pete's slotted fence on the porch, and he made the tree. I love the color he uses on his luffa, I'm thinking about switching up my standard tree coloring to get closer to what he paints his. I added the little pip berry to the top. The Santa figure is also one of Pete's that I painted.

Think I got pretty close to the original on this one, I painted my porch a little brighter orange but I tend to think that the originals were much brighter when they were new. Hopefully my photos do it justice, I still need to get some new backdrop paper.

Thanks
-Brian
