Update...8/8/2023...

I could not find a Santa face in a suitable size, so I made my own...the one on the left is the master I molded with Sculpey oven baked clay...the one on the right is the painted casting made with Durhams Water Putty and coated with two coats of clear finger nail polish...not shown is the modeling clay push mold made from the master...here are some helpful links to the process and products used...

Update...8/9/2023...

Here's the fully assembled body that's been primed three times with red craft paint and covered with fine grain red sand that was applied with Mod-Podge...craft paint was used on the fists and boots...it's getting closer to being finished...stay tuned...

Update...8/10/2023...

Ho! Ho! Ho!...My Santa figure is finished...except for the toys that go in the backpack...I'm still working on them...

I believe I forgot to mention earlier that his beard is wool rove...otherwise, I think all the details about making this piece have been covered...

Now, I'm off the find a new project...stay tuned...
