Re: Building "Ten Cent City"...recreating 1950's little hous

Thank you Maria and Lucy. These little houses are so much fun. This yellow one is so bright and cheerful. Thank you to Paul for the graphic and thanks to Howard for his patterns....it's a great distraction from this Pandemic.

Stay well everyone,
Jeanne

Re: OLD GERMAN TOWN HOUSES

Thank you Maria. The row type houses remind me of Lucy's Amsterdam patterns and of course her Tudor house. I have been busy building away all of Howard's patterns of the ten cent city. Self isolation is NOT a hardship when you have a hobby!!

Keep safe and well,
Jeanne

Howard I'm still following and I made the Yellow Brickie yesterday. Been trying all day to resize the picture...but it keeps posting a VERY large one. Will try again when I get time to figure it out. I sent an email to Paul as to how to do it.

Re: Building "Ten Cent City"...recreating 1950's little hous

I also ran into problems with the red brick in printing. I don't think this is the same file that Howard used. I may have tried to print a brick pattern from another file. Well anyway....it's done, except for the base as usual. I am not in love with this one, I may try to make a new one with a ...

AND...the Green Brickie. I had a problem with the printing, for some reason it printed in two alternating colors of green. Gave it a different look than Howard's.

Re: Building "Ten Cent City"...recreating 1950's little hous

As for the sand..I just bought a finer grit and it is working better Howard, and Lucy I have been using the Mod Podge but I'm going to try the Elmer's Glue All next for comparison.

And....here is the flagstone without the base or tree. I could not get good lighting in the house so I took the ...

Re: Building "Ten Cent City"...recreating 1950's little hous

It's another cutie Howard. I have the first one almost finished...have to get back to it and get er' done!
Thank you Howard for all your sharing and encouraging us to keep on building. I do have to ask...how do you get such a smooth finish on the sand?? I'm getting a distinct dislike for the ...

Re: HOM February 2020

Hi Pete. I really like the red mullions on this house, very different from the gold on red. Thanks for posting it, Jeanne
