Hi everyone--here's my annual autumn themed kitchen putz--featuring barns by Howard Lamey, unfinished cardboard houses I found at a tag sale and finished myself; vintage turkey salt and pepper shakers, made in Japan--vintage feather and spun cotton turkeys also made in Japan--and Johnson plates, English.
It's lit at night with a string of led battery lights and I'll try to post a picture then; the big log cabin is a trashbashed plastic Fisher Price cabin covered in layers of sand and paint
I'll transform it into a Halloween scene when I can add these repro Halloween die-cuts from Blumchen http://www.blumchen.com/halloween_shop_ha80
I ordered them today

Looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Paul--and thank you for your "trashbashing" articles which inspired me to look at this log cabin toy with fresh eyes. It hangs around, to speak, for so many holiday displays, year after year--

Maria,
I love the autumn "putzscape". Every time I see your trash bashed log cabin wherever you use it, I smile. Also thank you reminding me about Blumchen. It is enjoyable just to look through their stuff.
