My Little Red Dolly

Post by Lynn »

Here is my Little Red Dolly. This house was a real fun project, thanks for the windows Brian without them I never could have made this house. The base is 6 X 3 inches and 5/8 inch high. The house including the base is just 3 and 6/8 inches tall. Once the base was cut out and pieced together I glued a piece of heavy cardboard much like we do for the houses at the bottom to keep it nice and sturdy. I used Meyer Imports German Glass glitter #80 red and Twinklets Diamond Dust. I did cut out a hole in the back, hoping for some light will shine a bit through the paper windows.

Lynn...

A true work of art!...very precise cutting on the base and fence combo...perfect colors...love the tree, too...are you going to make the rest of the style houses in the dolly series?...I hope you do...

Brian...windows are so authentic...So nice to see them "at home"...so to speak...

Lynn,

I LOVE the fact that you carved the fence and gate out of the base Dolly-syle. Of course, Dolly had a huge stamping machine that did it all in one slam - this was a lot of work for you. Brian's windows look great, too. VERY NICE

Thank you all so much for your kind words, it truly means so much to me!
I would love to make more Dolly houses. Howard you mentioned a series of these houses, do you have any pictures? I have found a few pictures on EBay and the Web always keeping my eyes open for my next house. I have been chatting with Pete, he is working on some of the other window and door sets so I am really excited that I will be available to get these!! :)
