PROTOTYPING TODAY One of the DISNEY MICKEY MOUSE HOUSES

Here's a place to post patterns you want to share, link to patterns you find elsewhere on the internet, and request particular kinds of patterns you're looking for. I've moved a few existing messages here to get the forum started.

PROTOTYPING TODAY One of the DISNEY MICKEY MOUSE HOUSES

Post by Pete R.Oehmen »

Hello again fellow enthusiasts. I'm spending some time laying out the patterns for one of the medium sized Mickey Mouse house for a fellow member of this site. There are only 6 variations on these licensed Disney structures. I had to learn a lot about "Openfaced Corrugated Cardboard. It is measure by the FLUTES (Bumps) per linear foot. Like Fute E has 90 humps (flutes) per foot. In the case of this Disney house there is no such thing as 72 flute per foot. It had to be a Japanese thing. So now guess what... yep, I'm going to make a machine that makes the cardboard with these dimensions. UNLESS, any of your know where I can get Japanese openfaced cardboard? LOL

Pete…
Speaking of sources…do you (or anyone) have a source for those vintage Disney figures?…the last time I went to Disney World, I looked, with no success…saw some modern characters which were too big anyway…I have tried sculpting figures…but sculpting isn’t something I could do well…or at all…

Hello Howard thank you for your encouraging words. I always look forward to hear from you. I have my mold man working on these original figures right now. I'll let the forum know of our progress.
