Has anyone seen this barn?

If you have an unusual piece that you have questions about, this is the place to post them. Photos are VERY welcome, though it helps if you reduce them to 800 wide before you upload them. If you can't reduce them yourself, post them anyway and I'll try to reduce them when I have time.

Has anyone seen this barn?

Post by Clinton »

Warmest greetings all! I have a barn here (just the picture) that I am trying to help a fellow putzer restore, but-- we don't have clear, bright, pictures of the "insides" of the barn itself. Do any of you here have this model? If so, I would be forever grateful if any of you here could share some pictures of it! My email where you can send them is: therealwill65@gmail.com. Thanks a bunch!

clinton...

this is a "Pineville Barn"...the family and history of the "Pineville" houses are covered on Papa Ted's site...i googled Pineville Barn Putz and found several photos and old ebay listings...but could find no pix of the exact walls you were asking about...

so...my suggestion...(if a more knowledgeable forum member can't help)...duplicate the same image as the opposite wall...don't think this would be too far off the mark...the original maker probably did the same thing to eliminate doing a separate piece of artwork...

hope this helps...

Many thanks Howard. I too found many, but-- no inside pics as well. I did however see a tattered piece of the puzzle, but it may take some designing skills to fill in the blanks. Here is a screen shot of the "missing piece".

Hey Clinton,

My dad has this barn, it was one of the original pieces my grandmother bought in the 40's, I believe. I'll have to check and get back to you but I may have pics of it. If not, my dad is setting his stuff up this coming week and I may be able to get pics from all sides, theyre in the Midwest and im on the west coast but I'll see what I can get.
