Sizing

Post by Robin S »

I have only made a couple of houses using patterns i found online. I then decided to recreate Hogwarts which I'm still plugging away on. But it has sort of morphed in to a rather large structure and I would start over but I've put so much work into the building I have that I hate to start over. I just wanted to make it bigger so my houses would look somewhat in scale with the grandeur of Hogwarts. However, now I wish I would have made it smaller especially after I was asked how I was going to store it all which I hadn't even thought about.

So I'm just wondering about the size of putz houses. Does it vary or is there a general guideline. When crafting your own designs what parameters do you stick to ?

Thanks,

Robin

Hi Robin,

One of the wonderful things about making putz houses there are no rules!! I learned that from a fellow member.

I have made houses as tall as 9 - 10 inches and others under 2 inches. When I am making a reproduction I stick to the size of the original but my patterns it up to the house design and what I Invision it to look like.

Have fun!
