RE-MAKE of single peak roof "dolly style" house...

Here's a place to post patterns you want to share, link to patterns you find elsewhere on the internet, and request particular kinds of patterns you're looking for. I've moved a few existing messages here to get the forum started.

RE-MAKE of single peak roof "dolly style" house...

Post by Howard »

greetings to all...

i wanted to make another "dolly style" reproduction house but didn't want to duplicate one i had already built exactly...so i "flipped" the basic "dolly style" house pattern, added a tall chimney on one side and used the corner fences only...

base measures 3" x 6" x 3/4" thick...a chimney pattern is provided below...the folded tree and the corner fence patterns have been posted several times in the "dolly house" series so i haven't included them here...

here's the link to the first "dolly style" house in the series...https://www.cardboardchristmas.com/foru ... =10&t=1006

more later...howard...

Looking really nice Howard! Do you think one could glue on some corrugated cardboard to make it look like a cabin? Dolly did make a few designs of such. Here's one here--

Will...

a great big THANK YOU!...a "dolly loggie" is next!...but I may add a chimney for some visual interest.

by the way...don't think i've ever seen the "dolly" with the crescent moon cutout at the roof peak either...

perhaps i'll have to make that one as well!...

Howard...

good afternoon...

FINALLY finished this dolly- spired house this morning...seems like it has taken forever...note...the house color looks like a dark ruby red...but it's actually the same red giltter i used on several other dolly reproduction houses i've made this year...i did find a rich green glitter for the roof...it was also used on the roof of the dolly style "loggie" i just posted a few minutes ago...

my very best regards to all...

howard...

Very nice Howard - so crisp and clean. As for the crescent moon cut out, I think all the the slanted roof dollys had the cut out. I may be mistaken, but all the ones I've seen had it.
