Howard,
Didn't you say at one time you were thinking about doing an oceanliner?

thank you for the kind words...but there are many talented builders...we all just have our own way of designing, building and finishing little houses...there's another thing i like about our hobby, too...there are no rules... ;)

my very best regards...

good morning...

"black bear" sighting confirmed...i found in a tube of wild animals at the craft store...originally he was brown plastic...i spray painted with gray primer and then with satin black...the base is a piece of cardboard finished to look like the base of the cabin...

i know the setting with the bear and the toy look of the cabin are not in the pure "putz tradition"...the cabin was designed as a project for my tinplate toy train layout...i have plans to take some "snow" pictures later with the log cabin placed among more traditional putzes...you'll see how they blend...

i'm also working on another figurine as an alternate for the black bear...he's in the middle of "plastic surgery" right now...he'll be styled, painted and posed similar to vintage cast lead figurines...if you google "linclon log figurines" you'll see my inspiration for the look...i'll post some pictures of the project later...

my very best regards...

howard...
