A Dolly Style "LOGGIE" pattern...

Here's a place to post patterns you want to share, link to patterns you find elsewhere on the internet, and request particular kinds of patterns you're looking for. I've moved a few existing messages here to get the forum started.

A Dolly Style "LOGGIE" pattern...

Post by Howard »

greetings to all...

after our friend "Will" posted the picture of a vintage "dolly style" loggie...i knew i needed to make one...

here's a pattern and a progress picture of the one i'm building...my window arrangement varies slightly from the one he posted...

i'm also putting mine on a raised base plus adding a fence at the corners, chimney and a tree...

but i'm certain the original dolly house designer will let me get by with a few changes...

my very best regards...

howard...

Well you know I won't be able to resist making a new dolly house. It must have been a bit tricky cutting out the door and windows.

Fantastic work Howard! I really like the texture on the "logs". That's how I do all of mine.

Cheers,
Will~

Oh, yes. Texture, texture, texture. The texture on all surfaces of the loggie is the fine glitter I used on all the other dolly reproductions I've made.

Well, I must say Howard, your log house is so much nicer looking than the original. I have the Dolly log cabin and I just can't stand how it looks like a face. It's definitely not one of their better attempts.

Here's my "twist" on Howard's Dolly cabin pattern. Thanks Howard! It was a really fun build. Enjoy...

I like the homemade "Coco", Will.

Cool to see peoples different styles show thru, using the same house.

Will...

Your "Snow White" coco really does look fantastic...I've given up on getting anything even close to white.

By the way...nice to see patterns being use...yes...we all add our own "twist"...that's a good thing...

My very best regards...
