Keep us posted. Karl's stuff is great; I especially love the lackies (shiny houses)!

I wasn't crazy about the lakies initially...but they grew on me.

The original lackies were made by the Japanese to imitate the stamped-sheet-steel buildings that Lionel made to go with their trains in the 20s and 30s. Most of them were painted in solid colors and heavily shellacked to give them a shiny finish that resembled the Lionel originals. They provided an affordable alternative to the relatively expensive metal structures. Karl's new line of lackies should sell well to Lionel collectors, as they are quite appropriate for pre-war railroads.

the blue, red and gray "lackie" pictured has got to be one of my "all-time favorites"...i'm looking forward to seeing what he creates next!....i know we won't be disappointed...

does anyone know the fate of Karl's website.
Seems it does not exist anymore.

Steve, actually some of us were wondering about the fate of Karl. I had two e-mail address for them and they've shut down, too. :-(
