Wonderful collection. The band is very unusual.

The high wheel auto is an early plastic model kit from around 1954 put out by Gowland & Gowland / Revell. It was usually molded in yellow and of acetate plastic with later production in styrene. It is of a 1910 IHC (International Harvester Company) High Wheeler. It is around 1: 32 scale and is one of a series they produced. High wheelers were an idea to bring motive power to the farm and the gauge of the axles and wheels were designed to follow in the wagon ruts so often encountered on country roads of the period. With improvement to road maintenance on country roads the high wheeler quickly faded from the scene. I think the last were around 1916. This is not an easy one to find and most interesting and I have one myself. tkh

Hi guys.... I thank you all for your nice comments and background expertise. Had I known the IH car was so hard to find, it probably
would have put a crimp in my "casual" restoration effort. One of the struts holding up the canopy is only a toothpick, and a careful
perusal of the front left tire will show it's incomplete! As far as the skater goes, well, she's a real show-off and demands special treatment.

In the meantime, my husband found ANOTHER marching band, this one easier to identify: USMA . The grand boulevard is now the scene
of a battle of the bands. Pix to follow.

What a beautiful village so many wonderful house and figures. In your last picture I felt like I was standing right there on main street watching the band go by.
