making a "flat coal merchant"...

What kind of figures have been used with cardboard Christmas houses and villages, where do you get appropriate figures today, how do you make, prepair, repair or otherwise maintain figures?

since i had to start all over again on the "loggers at work flattie" i thought i'd work on the "coal merchant flattie" at the same time...

this one is ready for primer and finish...note that some layering details have been added...hat brim, bandanna, gloves, belt and shovel outline...
