MY 2013 DINING ROOM PUTZ, A "BROOKLYN CHRISTMAS"

Please use this forum for photos of your putz villages - some of you don't make your own houses, but you still display a lot of artistry when you combine and arrange them. And the rest of us would love to see your work. Again, it works best if you resize your photos to 800px wide or less before you upload them - Paul

MY 2013 DINING ROOM PUTZ, A "BROOKLYN CHRISTMAS"

Post by maria »

Well here's my dining room tree and putz--the one I affectionately refer to as a "Brooklyn Christmas" putz; the green brownstone (smile) is a trashbashed fisher price or playskool house that had seen better days (the windows are vellum) and there are a lot of vintage/antique pieces in the displays. This is the RIGHT side first which contains my one extravagance for the holidays--a new house by Howard of littleglitterhouses.com--followed by of course the left

Fantastic putz house, Howard.

Great job of repurposing that Fisher Price brownstone, Maria. Love the other pieces as well. Thanks for sharing!

P.S. We had the musical angels, only they were cast in a faux-wood brown plastic. We also had the plastic nativity down in the corner. Actually we had several but most of them had the figures cast of glow-in-the-dark plastic, not painted. We thought the glowed in the dark because they'd been blessed by the priest. :-)
