2025 (February) Man with dog "Flattie"...

Greetings to all...

The inspiration photograph for this "flattie" was sent to me late last year by our forum friend, Maria...it's the perfect subject matter for a new project...a man and his dog...he could be a shepherd or just a happy wonderer...I won't go into all the "flattie" making steps since they have been covered in detail many times in past...the pattern is below the work-in-progress photo...some of the pieces will be trimmed to fit as the assembly requires...I'll post a picture of the completed piece in a week or so...stay tuned...

UPDATE...2-16-2025...

The layers and parts of the flattie are assembled...still need to trim a few little cardboard hairs of a few parts and shorten the hiking staff...his face won't look like an oval when finished...primer and painting are next...stay tuned...

Greetings to all...

The "Happy Wandered" is finished...I did have to substitute a piece of black iron wire for the paperclip I was going to use...couldn't get the acrylic craft paint to stick to the surface...

Stay tuned...I have four more "flatties" in the works...

Hello Howard, This is a wonderful addition to the flattie collection as well as the farrier!! Look forward to seeing the next four.

Man with a dog...you can't beat that for subject matter. It turned out terrific, Howard, with exceptional depth for a "flat" figure. I look forward to the next.
