2024 Project No. 10 - - Santa in the Chimney Candy Box

Greetings to all…

It’s time for another project…this one was inspired by an eBay link a forum friend sent me…it has been sold and the link removed…and since the photos are under copyright, I can’t post a picture of the original…but I can tell you that my version is almost identical in dimensions, colors and surface texture…the patterns are in the two PDFs below the photos…

Note…you may have to adjust the measurements of the inside box (on sheet 2) to fit inside the main candy box house…it should be a gentle slide fit…

The project will be finished with birdcage gravel (applied with white glue) and final coats of metallic craft paints…the combination gives surface texture and a soft shimmer…the roof snow and base will be covered with glitter…I’ll add a small snippet of luffa and a red berry for more color and texture…

Later, I'll post pictures of the Santa I made from red bumpy stems, a white stem, cast reproduction Santa face, small piece of felt for the beard plus the tip of a metallic bumpy stem for the tree…

Please note...I did not develop or invent the method of making a bumpy stem Santa figure...there are other ways and methods on the internet...even some premade ones...

UPDATE...8/13/2024...

Well, folks...here's the finished Santa in the Chimney Canby Box...yes...I know...I don't think I've ever seen a window on a chimney...but that's what was on the original...

The door and window are stick-on paper ones...the window is just a cut down door...I did laminate them to cardstock before gluing them on...

Windows are available from two sources...
