paul...

i did cast the santa in a mold i made from a vintage santa figurine i got from a generous member of the fourm last year...i also got a lot of info on "how to cast" from another member of the group who wishes to remain un-named...

a two piece mold was made of of $1 store modeling clay...the piece was cast with water putty...clean up the casting when almost cured...then prime and paint...not a quick and dirty project...quite a few steps...and waiting time for things to cure, dry, etc...

our friend, tom hull, "the haciendia king"... :D ...uses the same material to make his figurines i believe...
