2012 FRENCH THEMED TINSEL TREE PUTZ

Post by maria »

Below, my 2012 French themed Christmas putz; BIG cathedral by Howard Lamey; ornaments are handmade, some with antique Dresden scraps; figures vintage made in Japan, one Occupied Japan; blue castle is a custom color Karl Fey and an outstanding copy of an antique version, originally in shades of brown. I've never seen feather trees before--they must be fairly rare, I think. Beautiful job!

You can find antique feather trees-but they cost a pretty penny--today reasonable repros are being made...this one however is a tinsel tree repro I got on sale from Gump's--a terribly expensive but beautiful online store---but I caught it at the end of season for almost 60% off....
