Lynn's 2018 Villages

Please use this forum for photos of your putz villages - some of you don't make your own houses, but you still display a lot of artistry when you combine and arrange them. And the rest of us would love to see your work. Again, it works best if you resize your photos to 800px wide or less before you upload them - Paul

Lynn's 2018 Villages

Post by Lynn »

I put up three villages this year, a few new houses but lots of new figures. For the first village these figures came in a box set labeled Berliner Zinnfiguren. Some of the pieces seem a bit out of the time period from of the rest, I didn't included these. The painting is so detailed it's hard for me to imagine anyone painting these.

My last village is my Dolly village. I added some small boxes in the back to add some high, I really liked how this help the back row of houses easier to see. I would like to try this in my other villages next year. This village is where I add some fun pieces.

Oh Lynn, these are wonderful. What a feast for the eyes. Lots of figures that are so fun to look at. And I think I see a couple of houses I haven’t seen before. I am just drooling over your candy box castle. Did you make that Santa? And is the sleigh and reindeer on the roofs Zinfiguren?

Lynn, your displays are charming and I am very, very impressed with your work! You've got these replicas down to the last detail. You've got some great new flats, too. Are you ordering them from Berliner Zinnfiguren? Barb

Thanks everyone!!

Laurie, the Santa next to the candybox castel is a vintage piece. I'm looking forward to seeing yours.
If some close up pictures would help you let me know, I'll be happy to take some for you.

The lead santa was made in Japan. I have 7 boxes and there is no company name on any of them just "Japan". As far as I know there are 3 styles, one with tan raindeer, one with white raindeer and the 3rd one has santa waving, that's the one I'm watching for.

Barb, I did order the set from Berliner Zinnfiguren directly. The site sell mostly military pieces and books. The web site is
www.zinnfigur.com
I have other contact info if you want it :)
