Making a "flat cardboard shepherd and sheep"...

Howard ... these are fantastic...! They put my German flats to shame! I absolutely LOVE the way you painted the sheep and the shepherd... and that HOUSE!
I'm going to have to get busy making some .. thanks you for putting the patterns up!!!

Hi guys.... Howard's shepherd pattern has always been a favorite. Yesterday, during our early snow storm, I decided to take another crack at it, and dress him up for the weather. I used cut out fabric scraps in layers, stuffed the arm with a pipe cleaner
to give it some dimension, and cut a finger tip off an old pair of leather gloves to make his back pack. I added some bunka thread, unraveled,
to the sheep to give their coats a little heft, but I don't think it shows up on camera. By the by, this dressed flattie is approximately twice the size
of Howard's pattern... don't think I could have done this otherwise.
