latest custom little glitter house just delivered...

Post by Howard »

good evening to all...

here are pix of a project i completed a month or so ago...but could not post pictures until it was given to a family member as an early Christmas gift by the client...

it's a highly detailed little glitter house version of the family home...i've also included a pix of the actual house...i won't tell you the exact location except to say it was spared from hurricane sandy...

base is about 10" x 9"...overall height including base is around 6"...

my very best regards...

howard...

Love the detail. Like the window boxes and the front light and the pole light too.

Again way too cool.

How great, Howard. Another masterpiece. What is the shrubbery made of? It doesn't look like luffa, but I can't identify the material.

nan...regarding shrubery material...

flower boxes...small pieces of "dollar store" green pot scrubbing pads...random cut with pinking shears...glitter added over a few touches of white craft paint...

(pot scrubber pads make a nice little fence, too...strips about 5/8 to 3/4" high...rough up the top edge with pinking shears...if color of pad material is not dark enough...spray with several mist coats of green spray paint)...

the rest...bottle brush trees with tips cut off and shaped with scissors to made look more rounded...added glitter over a few touches of white craft paint...

my very best regards...howard...

Thanks very much, Howard. I have often used the same scrubbing pads--make great hedges. Haven't cut down bottle-brush trees, however; another great idea from you!
