Re: A-frame Houses
Thanks everyone!
Lucy - I did build a little snow base which is kind of tough to see in the picture because it is sitting in real snow. I used the same material for the snow base as I did for the snow on the roof/tree/logs/wreath. It really is a nice material to work with and turns out great!

Re: A-frame Houses
I guess I'm the only one that likes A-frames haha.
Here's another teeny tiny one that I built that has about a 1 1/4" footprint and is about 1 1/2" tall. The house itself is cardboard coated in sand. The doors and windows are cardboard that I painted. The wreath is also cardboard that is coated in ...

Thanks everyone!!
And Pete...yes! I definitely want to do some in coconut once I get some practice under my belt! The sand looks pretty cool too, but the coconut just adds a "whole nother" level of Christmas!

A-frame Houses
Does anyone else like or build A-frame houses? If so, post them up!
I've loved A-frames since I was little and I am actually in the process of building a real one (tiny A-frame).
So naturally, I would build some cardboard A-frames haha.
I'm new at this so I'm still figuring things out, so I haven ...

My First Practice Build
Here is my first practice build of a pattern that I found on paperglitterglue. it is modeled after one of the houses from the set of 8 that I posted earlier.
This was really just a practice build to familiarize myself with cutting and gluing and coating with sand.
It is also pictured next to the ...

Re: New member from Pennsylvania
I don't see an "off-topic" section in the forum, but these are somewhat related and I wanted to share these, so I figured it would be ok to keep them in my personal welcome post.
Here are 2 Christmas paint by number "recreations" that I painted. These patterns are from a set of 8 paint by number ...

Re: Set of 8 Coconut Houses
They have not been restored, but they are still very colorful. Plus this pic was taken with my "good" camera, so it shows the colors very well. They have bumps and bruises and some thin/missing spots in the coating here and there, but it's a great set.

Set of 8 Coconut Houses
Hello everyone!
Here is a picture of the set of 8 houses that I mentioned in my welcome post. I was looking for this particular set for a while and this set finally came up on eBay a bit before Christmas.
Thanks for looking!

I forgot to mention I have a wonderful dog named S'mores! Here are some pictures from our first Christmas at the real life A-frame Putz cabin that I am building.
