Re: Putz Village Photos

Hi gang,
I'm posting a picture of my German embossed diecuts putz scene. They are my current obsession and I've been fortunate to track down some really great examples.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Re: HOWARD'S 2025 VILLAGE DISPLAY...

I love your village, Howard! I am always impressed by your creativity and wish I could conjure up some of your seemingly boundless energy!

I did put up a display of German cardboard die cuts this year. That's as far as I got! Howard has seen this already but I'll put it out there for the rest of ...

Re: 2023 Fireplace Putz on Parade

Hi,

I dug out some additional pix of my Baltimore houses. I found a second large house and rehabbed it. This one had fewer existing features in terms of bays and porches, so I gave it my best guess in terms of what was missing. It may not be true to the original but I was pleased with the result ...

Re: 2023 Fireplace Putz on Parade

Hi Paul,

If you search "Fixer Upper" on this site you'll see some pictures of my first big "Baltimore House". We found it at an antique toy show several years ago, and although it was in pitiful shape you could see that it had great bones and looked like a fun restore project. This is a link to the ...

Re: Tunnel/Tree-Stand Project

Healey 36,

I think your display is great but I particularly loved your step by step pictures as you did the build. This is the kind of thing that inspires me to drop everything and run to my craft table! Thank you very much for the inspiration and for the time and effort you put into sharing your ...

Re: 2023 Fireplace Putz on Parade

Nothing compares to seeing this in person of course, but these photos are really great!

I love, love, love this year's "double town square" feature with the parade coming up between. If one pops up in my next display, you'll know who inspired me!

Just wonderful!

Rewiring a Vintage NOMA Christmas Tree Star

Hi everyone,

For some time I have been wanting a vintage electric star topper for our family Christmas tree. I found one in it's original box at an antique show last week. I was really happy to find the star, but afraid of the original wiring and bulbs used in the star. I have heard some horror ...

This is really great, Howard. I can't wait to see your progress. How did you recreate the lithographs? I've always been interested in that process but had no idea where to start.

Happy Thanksgiving! You WILL remember to come in from your putzing workshop for dinner, right?

What a fabulous candy container! And what a good eye, Howard! Did you remember this from PT's site or did you go searching?

Thanks for sharing Pete!
