Greetings to all…

I’m starting this project off a little earlier than the first of the month…the reason?…it’s A GIANT!…the overall design came from several internet images...my version is not an exact copy either…I did have to “putzerize” the look as well…

The base measures 9” wide by 7” deep by 1” thick…the project may look complicated…but it’s not…there are just a few more parts...some of which are larger than most projects…

I’ll be posting PDF patterns soon and additional photos over the next several weeks…along with details about the windows and door I got from Pete Oehmen…

Stay tuned…

Howard…

Looking terrific, Howard...a complex design. I look forward to seeing your incremental progress (and thanks for the schematics)!

UPDATE 1-29-2025...

Here is pattern sheet 3...note that the width of the back...(noted as 5 7/8" on pattern)...may need to be adjusted depending on the way the other score and fold lines grow...a small change in location of score and fold lines and the thickness of your cardboard could possibly change the width up to about 1/8" or so...perhaps a little less...

UPDATE...1-31-2025

Finished up the "cotton topper roofs" for the project...painted the raw cardboard roofs white before covering with cotton batting...still have to trim the batting a little where the main roof meets the second story...after final assembly, I'll give selected areas of the roofs a blush of glitter...stay tuned...

UPDATE...2-12-2025...

Finally getting back to painting Santa's Toy Shop...had to go with red and green...the single-face corrugated trim will be painted metallic gold...may paint the kitchen matchstick windowsills metallic gold as well...ignore the metal C clamp...it's attached as a painting handle...stay tuned...

Knock-down gorgeous, Howard. (I hope you realize how intimidating the "before" picture is!)
