Note: This is an archive of "Papa" Ted Althof's online tribute to cardboard Christmas "putz" houses and their history. At Ted's request, this archive was established in early 2012. Except for critical updates and announcements, it will remain exactly as Ted left it in October, 2012.
For more information, please scroll to the bottom of the page.

Note from Editor: For "Papa" Ted Althof, making authentic windows and doors available was a labor of love - he insisted that the printers get each color exactly right, requested "proofs" of each silkscreened product, and otherwise spent real time and money developing the products that he wound up selling on this site. He wanted anyone who was taking the time to restore vintage putz houses to have access to the most authentic replacement products possible. Frankly, I doubt if he ever broke even when all was said and done - but that wasn't the point.

Needless to say, you can't use this page to order replacement doors and windows any more, but we're leaving page up since it's part of the original archive. In the meantime, thanks, Ted, for your diligence and commitment to quality - Paul
