good evening…
another month…another project…and this one is so easy…
here is the link to the inspiration piece…scroll to the end of the page…ted called it the “toad house”…he also thought it might be a representation of an electric power generating station…
http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/papateds/Hom2008.html
the picture below spells out most of the story…i’ll post additional pictures as work progresses…there are windows and a door to cut out…an entry porch to make…the roof will have to be notched out for the chimney…the fence will be the same for each side…not sure about the finish and some other details just yet…it may be a “printie”…we’ll see…
my very best regards…
howard

paul...
i guess i should have posted this as "toad house"...inspired by december 2008 house of month......
my version won't be a true candy box with glue on door and windows...i'm looking at your "arched door 2" and "computer cut 2-over-2 mullion windows"...will use single face trim along the base like the original...but will probably add a step and a sidewalk...
my very best regards...howard...

Ted called it a "Toad House" because it seemed so drab. Here's the variation with the base and smokestack.

I just realized--it's this one--minus the chimney more or less. This belongs to friend Judi. She only had the top; using a pre-made Howard base we attached it so it wouldn't get any more damaged.

good morning...
my version of the "toad house" will be getting primer, paint and finish soon...
i've covered the cardboard tube chimney with red brick printed paper...notched the roof so the chimney will sit right up against the house...added the porch and some trim around the house base...made the fence and sidewalk for the base...
like i said...this is an easy project...hope i can find a figurine with the "right look" for the front yard...
my very best regards...howard...
