Auction find

Hello Everyone,
I purchased these Putz houses last week at an auction.
I’m not sure about the orange one, it’s 4 3/4” wide without base by 4 1/2” tall, and the steeple was laying inside the house. It is marked Japan on base.
Also the two small houses on the left front are felt on house and base.
On the base they say MADE IN JAPAN.
I would greatly appreciate if any one could give insight on these houses.
Thank you,
Luann

They are probably the set sold at Sears years ago back in the late 60's early 70's. My first set I ever got a hold of are these type from my Mom when I got into collecting and restoring them. Hope this helps!

Regards,
Clinton

Luann...

Go to this link http://cardboardchristmas.com/papateds/postwar.html and scroll down to the 1960's topic...and you'll see the family of little flat base houses that are like most of yours...the bigger church is probably from about the same era...you may even fine that exact church pictured on Papa Ted's site somewhere in the History or House of the Month topic...

Thank you so much Clinton and Howard.
The link is wonderful, I found a few of my houses there and will be referring back to it in the future.
Your help is greatly appreciated?
