Pine cone trees...a quick, almost free project...

good morning...

first...these have been done many, many times over the years...they are not my idea...i've seen them in photos of putz villages and old toy train layouts (usually without the star and ornaments when they were used with trains)...

i just decided to make a few to help take my mind off the hot and humid summer here in north florida...

they're quick and simple...cardboard disc...pine cones...white craft glue...green spray paint...individual beads cut from dollar strings of "mardi gras" beads...cardboard or wood stars...short lengths of toothpicks for back of stars...white and gold craft paint...clear or white glitter...

mine ranged from 2 1/2" to 4" tall plus the height of the star...about another 1/2" or so...

my very best regards...

howard...

I like these Howard! Great way to use as a "filler" for your putz layout.

Will...you know YOU could do them in Halloween theme colors, too...(Hint!...Hint!...Hint!) :)

Great project, Howard. I've been collecting pinecones for my future tinplate RR. . . .
