Who can post?

Members.
Almost everyone in our current membeship list has posted at least one relevant message, and several have posted many great photos and tips.
However, for whatever reason, people have occasionally asked me permission to contribute extensive content or photos without joining the forum. It is now reaching the point, where I have to say "no" for several reasons, including:
- I want this forum to be a community with real interaction among the members. I'm not interested in
accumulating "ghosts" - contributors who won't enter the discussion.
- Some of our topics are already "bursting at the seams," and adding more stuff would just make content from
legitimate contributors harder to find.
- We've seen other forums get filled up quickly with so many photos that they actually crowd out meaningful
interaction among members. So far, each photo posted has been accompanied by a comment of why it is
important to the poster. Please let's keep it that way.
Members, please feel free to post anything relevant that you think others here would benefit from seeing, whatever the source. That could conceivably include a few occasional photos from non-members, within reason. But everything we post - including everything I post - must be done with the sense that we are accountable to each other to keep our community interactive and interpersonal.
I understand that there are folks who are interested in our subject matter that may have legitimate reasons not to join a forum. If a non-member has photos or content that he or she thinks would benefit our members, please have him or her contact me using the Contact page, and I'll try to sort it out.
Thanks again, all, for keeping, not only this forum, but the increasing number of hobbies it represents, alive and well,
Paul
Thanks, all, for your understanding,
