Hi Paul, yes the fence is broom straw... and the roof is a similar straw or maybe raffia that had been dyed/painted. It's been a little beat up, especially the roof... and it's huge! I should have taken photos with a ruler next to it. There is a cardboard plug in the back too. It is removable for illumination. I would be happy to measure it for anyone who wants to know the dimansions.

I had quite forgotten; this was my first putz house--purchased for me by my Bill--who simply did not understand the fascination--until I set up the big tree that year--after many mad months of hunting more houses down! Now he says he can't imagine a Christmas tree without a putz village!
