lynn...the Santa is a Lionel train item...and was usually sold a part of a set of figures...i was fortunate enough to spot him a couple of years ago on ebay as part of a group of small santas...he's actually quite heavy...made of cast pewter...very carefully painted, too...

will see if i can find the current Lionel item number and post on the forum...
