NEW KITS AVAILABLE...

When you're talking about Cardboard Christmas (putz) houses, a photo is worth TWO thousand words. Here are some notes about posting photos on this forum.

Nice job Howard I really like this house with the glitter instead of the coconut and I like that both windows are the same size. Do I see a Mrs. Santa Claus flattie in the near future?

Not to bug you Peter.

Any idea when your kits will be ready for sale.

Not that I need any other reasons to start a new house. :-)

I made the Santa Castle from Pete's pattern. Mine is a slightly different, I have included a picture of the original, this same castle that I made also was made all white, but I really like the blue tower roofs and awning. The other differences are the doors used and the second row of trim. The Castle measures 8 inches high and 4 3/8 inches wide and includes a "candy box". The towers and awning is fine sand over glue, than painted blue and sprinkled with a mixture of finely ground mica and fine clear glass glitter. For the Castle I mixed glue and a little white paint mixed in, then sprinkled with a mixture of fine sand, finely ground mica, fine clear glass glitter, and bit of fine black glitter. All the windows and doors are glued on. I was lucky to find Santa on eBay a while ago and the tree is new with different beads glued on.

Great job Lynn! It literally looks like a brand new one you'd buy at the 5¢ & 10¢ store from long ago. BTW, how did you get that black pepper look on the wall surface? Is that German glass glitter on the surface as well? That really sets it off for an authentic look. :)

I just love this Lynn. What a nice find on your Santa. It's a great rendition. I just saw the original on Ebay this week.
