Warning: I am contracting a technician to migrate this site to new, upgraded software that will not keep getting hacked. My apologies for the inconvenience, especially this close to Christmas, but the site may get shut down for a few day. Our other sites will be affected too. This won't be cheap, but the LAST thing I want is for all of the great user content to become unavailable.

I've also stopped the autopayments. They don't actually support the site - they're a way to keep trolls and spammers from signing up. If you have a login, you'll still be logged in in the new system.

Our sites actually cost us about $2k a year to run, in case you wondered, and this one draws most of the resources.

I expect the fix to run in the $2500 range. Several folks have offered to chip in but I'll wait until I have firm numbers before I say anything.

Just sayin', we do what we can.

Sorry. I'll update when I know more.
- Paul

Spent the entire day cleaning and organizing the space where I restore and reproduce original putz houses. A fellow putzer has assured me that this will be of interest to at least some of you!

Barb,

Thanks for posting. Sorry it took a week to get approved - there's a glitch somewhere.

You and Howard are an inspiration to us all. :-)

Barb, I just noticed two of Howard's churches on your desk. Nice work. Believe it or not, that church is the first thing Howard and I "collaborated" on - that is, he used my stained glass pattern. :-)

good morning to everyone...

wish i could take credit for the two houses on barb's worktable...but can't!...

i believe one is a "vintage original" and a "remarkable copy" that she made!...

i have seen pictures of other houses she has made...they are accurate in every detail...even down to brush strokes...

her attention to details makes her copies almost impossible to tell from vintage originals...

my very best regards...

howard

Good morning,

Thank you for your nice words, Howard. Yes, the building on the left is an original "High School" clock house lent to me by a collector so that I could copy it, my copy being the one on the right. The clock house buildings are among my favorites, and I'd be looking for the high school building for years.... not to be found.

Barb

Lynn, I know that, technically, jealousy is a bad thing, but WOW! :-)
