Thank you everyone. I am so novice at putz houses , like what kind of cardboard does everyone use or prefer ? . I never knew about fence punches but now want some lol. I started with pvc because we have scraps at work and it seemed easy to use for starting this hobby but I do want to make putz houses traditionally at some point . I was intimidated by how some people say you have to paper mache them etc . I will post some pictures of my ideas and my 2 patterns on pvc.

Jetrail John,

The index to our core tutorials is here: https://cardboardchristmas.com/html/bui ... ouses.html

Most of those articles are actually on Howard Lamey's site, the same Howard who posts so many projects here.

The original houses were made many different ways, so if someone suggests something that you don't think works for you, fuggetaboutit! :-)

Would love to see what you're doing with PVC.

John,
Click on the "Full Editor." A little box will show up underneath the text area that says Choose File. Browse to a .jpg or .gif picture that is less than 800px wide. When you click on the file name, it will show up in the box next to "choose file." Then click Add the file, which upload it to my site (but not to my page.)

Then click on the text box where you want the photo to go and click the "place inline" button.

Sorry, it's not as easy as a "Click and drag," but every time I try to upgrade my software to include updated features, I break the site and it takes me days to get it going again. . . .

Let me know if this doesn't make sense.

Paul

Thanks , and thank you for your help Paul. That's my plan take some bottle brush trees and drill a tiny hole to glue the bottle brush tree into the base. My idea is to paint them or glitter them . I've even considered wood siding out of popsicle sticks, once I get my first one done I'll post pictures ,
