I made a house for St. Patrick's Day that incorporates some Steampunk elements. I was just kind of playing around with some of my craft dies and texture folders and paints and came up with this. It's not a traditional putz house, but most of mine aren't, they always evolve during the process and sometimes end up kind of funky. That's what happened here. The first photo has the most accurate color representation.

I hope you have had a lovely St. Patrick's day. Lucy

Very funky indeed Lucy! I like that it is built on the wheels! Happy St. Patricks Day to you too!

I made a modification to the door to make it stand out better. Now it's got a door frame in the same shape as the windows. I also took the picture outside in shaded daylight on a bed of violets. It looks better (though I haven't covered up the mistake I made cutting out the roof where I had to add patches).

Take care.

Howard,
I was surprised as well how much the cardboard cutout helped balance the front and make the door stand out.

The wheels are called Mini pulley wheels. I got them for just under $5.00 a set online, but now they are selling for more everywhere except one Etsy shop for $3.99. I googled Tim Holtz mini pulley wheels to search for them. They roll nicely and swivel a little bit (because of the screw that holds them in place). I tried to find some cheaper wheels in catalogs that my brother, a cabinet maker gets, but I didn't see any little wheels that I liked as much as these.

Lucy,

I can't help thinking this belongs in the "Oz" set in Wicked! Great job, and - frankly - an inspiration.

Thank you, Paul. I was surprised to see a comment about it at this date.

It does look like it would fit in Wicked. I love that play.
